About the author Jens Becker

Born in 1963 in Berlin. 1986–91 Study of Film Directing at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen “Konrad Wolf” in Babelsberg.

Since then he has written and directed about 60 Feature Films, Documentaries, Screenplays and Non-Fiction Books, including ADAMSKI, HENKER – DER TOD HAT EIN GESICHT, KRIEG IN DER ARKTIS, TATORT.

Main Awards: Jury Prize of the Max-Ophüls-Preis 1994, Advancement Award Art Prize Berlin from the Akademie der Künste 1994, Journalist Prize Thüringen 2003, Grimme Prize 2011.

Since 1992 member of the Verband Deutscher Drehbuchautoren (VDD). 1993/94 Master Student of Wim Wenders at the Akademie der Künste. Since 2004 Professor for Screenplay at the Filmuniversity “Konrad Wolf” in Babelsberg.
